Berlin Apartment with Balcony – Looking for a Home Exchange (Spring to Autumn 2025)
Hello! I’m offering my apartment in Berlin (between Friedrichshain and Lichtenberg, close to Samariterstraße and Frankfurter Allee) for a home exchange. The flat is 55 sqm, has two rooms, a sunny balcony, and is well connected by tram, the Ringbahn (circular train), and the U5 underground line (direct to Berlin central station).
I’m looking for a 2-week exchange (dates flexible) sometime between April and October 2025. My first idea would be to swap with Amsterdam, but I’m also curious about other European cities — for example Budapest, Bratislava, Rome, Prague, Paris, Marseille, Barcelona, Valencia, or other beautiful places.
I enjoy discovering new cities and cultures and would love to make this a relaxed and fair exchange where both sides feel comfortable. I’d be happy to get in touch beforehand for a chat and to share more details about the apartment and the area.
If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to reach out — I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Francesca

The apartment is located between Friedrichshain and Lichtenberg — a friendly, quiet, and green area with many shops, supermarkets, and cafés around. It’s well connected by public transport: the U5 underground line is just nearby and takes you directly to the city center (Alexanderplatz in about 15 minutes, Brandenburger Tor and Hauptbahnhof also easily reachable).
Friedrichshain is known as one of Berlin’s vibrant and creative districts, with lots of cultural offers, restaurants, and bars — while the immediate neighborhood around the apartment is calm and relaxed. You’re not directly in the tourist hotspots, but thanks to the great transport connections, it’s very easy to explore the entire city.
Hi, my name is Francesca, I’m 33 years old and was born and raised in Berlin. I love to travel and discover new places. I have already done a few home swaps in the past and really enjoy this way of traveling — not only because it helps to save costs, but also because it feels more personal, fair, and authentic. Especially nowadays, with tourism and housing prices being so inflated in many big cities, I think home exchange is a beautiful way to make travel more accessible and based on trust between people. I like the idea of supporting each other directly, without the distance that often comes with commercial tourism.
I’m looking for a flat swap for about 2 weeks (flexible dates) between April and October 2025. My first choice would be Amsterdam, but I’m also open to other beautiful cities like Budapest, Bratislava, Rome, Prague, Paris, Marseille, Barcelona, or Valencia. I’m curious to explore new places and I’m happy to stay flexible and find a good match together.
